FAQs

I want to book a workshop but the date I want isn’t showing up. What should I do?

Thanks for your interest in my workshops! If the date you want isn’t listed on my Workshops page, it probably means that date is full. If you see another date listed that will work for you, I encourage you to book in early! I keep my workshops intentionally small to ensure everyone gets plenty of personal attention and support as they learn, and they often fill up.

If you can’t do any of the advertised dates, please reach out to me at hello@kirrilyjordan.com to fill any cancellations or propose a date that would work for you!

I want to book a workshop and there are places available, but the ticket type I want is showing ‘sold out.’ What should I do?

If you’re unable to find your preferred ticket type (e.g. General Admission, Bring a Friend, or Concession), please email me at hello@kirrilyjordan.com. I can usually resolve this quickly.

If you’re concerned about tickets selling out and haven’t heard back yet, you’re welcome to book any available ticket, and let me know by email that you’ve done so. I’ll update it to the correct ticket type and process any change in payment as soon as I’m back online.

What do you mean by ‘Concession’?

I aim to make my workshops accessible to everyone. Concession tickets are available for individuals on low incomes, including students, pensioners, and those who are unemployed.

I want to come to Peru! Can you tell me more?

Thanks for your interest in the Peru adventure! The journey will be 9 days and full of exciting activities. It's designed to provide an immersive experience into Peruvian weaving traditions and daily life in the Amazon region. We will start and finish the tour in Iquitos, which is the 'capital city' of the Peruvian Amazon. Here’s a summary of what’s planned:

  • Visit Iquitos for a guided market tour and museum excursion.

  • Travel by boat to Santa Ana, a small village along the Amazon River where you’ll meet local artisans, learn their weaving techniques, and harvest natural fibres like Chambira.

  • Participate in hands-on activities, including string making, dyeing, and weaving baskets or string bags.

  • Spend time with the community while we weave together and share meals.

  • Take a boat ride to Tamshiyacu to visit the bustling market and sample street food.

  • Visit El Chino, an Amazonian village further upstream, to connect with traditional weavers and explore local wildlife.

As soon as details are finalised I will publish more information on my Workshops page, including costs. It will be a small group of no more than 5 - 10 people and a translator will be with us throughout.

I have another question not covered here. How can I contact you?

I’d love to hear from you! Please email me at hello@kirrilyjordan.com or send me a message on Instagram or Facebook and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
